5 months in pictures

My brother just informed me that I have not posted on this blog since Felicity was only one month old! That is a terribly long time. Here's what we have been up to:

At the end of April, when Felicity was 6 weeks old, we moved into our new house on Myrtle Avenue. And that's when the guests started arriving... We were so blessed to host an array of friends and family this summer, all out to meet Felicity (and see us too, I hope).
Our dear friends Kevin and Nicole Nelson came out from WA for a weekend. We played lots of games, ate good food, and hung out. It was wonderful!!
A couple hours after we took them to the airport, Tom and Carolyn arrived in their camper (aka Grandma and Grandpa Sullivan). They stayed for three weeks, enjoying their grandbaby, helping us move into the house, and work on the basement (more on that in another post). Felicity loved reading the fish book with Grandpa...

 ...and rocking with Grandma, too!
A few hours after the Sullivans left, the Larsons showed up for a few days. Uncles Matt and Joel were quite smitten with Felicity, and she loved seeing mamie and papi Larson again, as well.
We visited the Nelson-Atkins art museum in downtown KC, and had to take a picture with the giant badminton shuttlecock.
Two days after the Larsons left, the Proulx arrived. We had so much fun with Susan (John's birth mom), Michael, and their two kids, Marissa and Skylare. We visited a few museums, had KC BBQ, and played lots of games. Susan also made me a delicious meal for my 26th birthday.
What else did we do this summer? We took Felicity swimming. As you can see, she was very relaxed in her darling swim outfit.
The best thing for teething we found was cold watermelon rinds. She'll probably have a sweet tooth now, but that was bound to happen anyways considering who her parents are. She's got two sharp teeth now.
 Cutest baby on the planet!
 She wants to try coffee.
John and I celebrated five years of marriage on July 19th. It was a little different having a baby along on our date, but we are so blessed to have each other and so thankful for the time we've had together! We went to the Hallmark museum and then out to high tea.
In August, we flew out to CO for my brother Matt's wedding to Heather. Here are three generations.
Felicity got to meet her uncle Eric for the first time.
Here are all the kids at the wedding. Congrats Matt and Heather!! Felicity has an aunt!
Here's a picture thrown in just for the cuteness of it!! Makes me smile so much!
Felicity has changed so much this summer. We know it won't be long before she starts crawling. Here is the roll-over sequence that has taken place over the past month and a half. This was the first time she rolled over from her back to her stomach, but got stuck on her arm.
Propping herself up a bit.
 No arms.
 Push-up.
The bridge. This is where she is now. But she's really good at pushing herself backwards and rotating 360 degrees.
She can also support herself standing up.
And last but not least, she had her first solids last night (unless you count sucking on the watermelon rind): homegrown summer squash from my garden. Thanks to Aunt Nikki for the Korean baby spoon!
She loved it!!

Well, there you have it. Next time I will post about our two big projects of the summer: the basement and the potager, or food garden.
